Hi
When in the races and choosing the open wheel car category, we're only provided with the 1950 equivalent of an F1 open wheel car.
I'm just wondering why the modern F1 GTA cars like the BR8 and PR4 are not included, as I think these races will be much more enjoyable than a mid-tier open wheel car with average handling

there is 2 different class of open wheels, one class with that old car and one with BR8 and PR4 etc...
always check what class of cars you are choosing while voting. (down - right)

I've played many many races and have always hovered over open wheel. I've never seen the better one with the modern cars.
Please correct me if I am wrong though

and if they have the modern ones - they should just merge them all... I think everyone would prefer the modern cars vs old cars

They are merged, it's only separated by performance class. The vehicles in question are in C class, the rest being S class.

The car you're talking about is the A-Type and it is in performance class B, the others (BR8, PR4, R88 and DR1) are all in performance class S. Afaik, every car got tested on a custom made test track and its lap time it got there is the result of its performance class. You cant merge cars from different performance classes together, that would break the whole idea of having performance classes.
